REVIEW- Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up!

The Benefit Watt's Up highlighter had been on my wish list for a long time until i finally ordered it online. And i was seriously over joyed when it arrived at my doorstep.
It's a Benefit product, so of course its design is out of the box. The light bulb pun on the packaging brings a smile to my face...and believe it or not that's also how Benefit wins my heart, mind and wallet every time.
Since I'm a newbie to the makeup world (I know, crazy right?!) I wasn't sure how this highlighter would work on my skin tone, but let me tell you it works wonderfully. I'm absolutely head over heels in love with it.

Watt's up is a cream-to-powder highlighter which comes with a round little spongy blender to smooth out/blend the highlighter into a diffused sheen. Although I have experienced that this sponge tends to rub the product off rather than blending it. Just use your fingertips and you will be fine! it gives a better effect.
*finger tips* Best makeup tool ever!
The powdery creamy texture glides on easily on the skin and doesn't mess with the foundation/base if already applied. I love the way it creates a gorgeous noticeable glow on my medium skin tone. It's a champagne shimmer that's supposed to flatter a wide range of complexions. Plus, its not too reflective or shimmery, which is great as i don't want people squinting their eyes when they look at me.
I think the high price tag on this is pretty justified for the results it produces. It will definitely be a staple in my makeup collection.
I haven't yet tried this on bare skin. Have you? Let me know your thoughts.

Here's how and where i apply it to achieve a beautiful glow:
1. On my temples
2. Just above the cheekbone
3. Inner corner of the eyes
4. Just a dab in the middle of the chin
Also, try applying Watt's Up under your foundation...gives a more subtle natural glow.

Have fun with it :)

REVIEW - L'OREAL True Match Super Blendable Blush

A blush, eye liner and lip gloss! My top 3 make up products that do wonders for me in a jiffy. Especially on a Sunday morning when I wake up...no, let me correct myself "when I'm woken up by my hungry crying baby"...so, i was saying that on one of those lazy mornings when I'm just not in the mood to whip up breakfast, i convince my better half to take me out for some coffee and muffins, or waffles or super oily halwa puri! So I wash up, sweep on some blush n gloss with a smile and i am ready for some morning indulgence.
Now getting to the makeup talk, I've tried few blushes in my life, some i love, some i don't.
Recently i got my hands on the  L'OREAL True Match Super Blendable Blush (warm) in shade SUBTLE SABLE W5-6.
Of course, I bought it online :) and im glad i did.
To start with, the packaging is nothing extra ordinary, but i like the fact that it comes with a mirror. There's also a brush in it which is too small and no good, sadly. I use my nice big round brush anyway.

According to L'OREAL Paris website this blush's true to life shades precisely match your skin tone/undertone leaving you with the most natural flush of color imaginable.
By the way this Super Blendable Blush is available in 12 different shades.

Well, i agree. For my skin tone, this shade really does add a pretty flush to my face. It has a nice soft peachy sparkle to it which gives that healthy glow effect to my skin.

If i swatch it on my fingertips it looks like a peachy matte shade, but when I apply it with a brush it goes on almost sheer and gives my cheeks a subtle sheen. The color is build-able, which is ideal for me. I can wear it easily both daytime and evening.
In the picture above, i swatched it on my hand, blended it with my finger and that's the kind of effect I get.
In my opinion, SUBTLE SABLE works great on medium/olive skin tones with warm undertones.

So, hey all you beautiful medium/olive toned girls out there...what do you think? Feel free to share your favourite blushes :)

Lottsa Love.
